Bethany Smith & David Bailey are siblings who have been analyzing song lyrics and their meanings since they were old enough to understand them.
This blog was born one day when they were sitting together in Bethany’s office, and she asked him what he thought of the lyrics to American Pie, and what they meant… as David launched into a full explanation, lyric by lyric, Bethany saw a grand vision: start a blog that would give them both the opportunity to share lyric explanations with the thousands of music fans who are sometimes stumped by what the heck the lyrics are talking about.
After all… we all have those favorite songs that we just don’t get – we just know we love the song. Now there’s a place where you can submit a request for an explanation, and not only do you get OUR explanation… you’ll get feedback from all of our other readers too.
