Our explanation: Despite popular belief that this song was inspired by a Young Life camp in British Columbia called Malibu Club, "Walk on the Ocean" was based more on a trip to the San Juan Islands, (Orcas island in particular) Washington than anything else, but was more than anything just a five-minute temporary lyric for a demo that just happened to stick.
